Privacy policy

This website is geared toward cryptographers, not lawyers. Therefore, we provide transparent information about the infrastructure of this website and provide our privacy policy in an accessible format.

Hardware and Software

This wiki is a MediaWiki 1.43.1 instance hosted on a netcup server. The wiki uses the following extensions: AbuseFilter, CategoryTree, Cite, ConfirmEdit, Echo, InputBox, LoginNotify, Math, MultimediaViewer, OATHAuth, SpamBlacklist, TitleBlacklist, VisualEditor, WikiEditor.

Stored information

To the best of my knowledge, this server does not store any personal information per user unless you contribute to an article. In this case, your IP-address or username are associated with the changes of the edited article. As any article on this website is publicly available and the list of changes as well, we see the confirmation of an edit, creation of an article, or similar as implicit acceptance to store and publish this data. Additionally, we store data related to account creation and management, authorization, etc. Any non-public data will not be disclosed to any third-parties.

The hosting provider might keep a copy of access data to its servers due to legal reasons. You can find details here: Privacy Policy of netcup.

Overall, your personal data remains private in accordance with the GDPR if you do not make any changes to a public article. In case, you want to make use of your right to object, withdraw consent, access, retrification, erasure and restriction of processing, or similar, please contact us. We will sort it out as soon as possible.

Cookies

The website uses technically necessary cookies only. If an extension introduces cookies that are not technically necessary, then we are not aware of them. Please contact us in such a case.
